When the Abraham Pierson School swings open its doors this year, it will be a far cry from the Clinton Primary School which welcomed students in 1932.  For seventy one years, the Pierson School has been the mainstay of elementary education along Main Street in Clinton.  In 1932, students in grades 1-8 numbered approximately 100.  In 2008-09, students in grades four and five will number 370+ divided among fifteen homeroom classes! Families also have a choice of traditional, Integrated-Day, or Looping Classrooms.

The 1932 staff of nine teachers and five support staff will be greatly overshadowed by a 2008 total staff of forty professionals, paraprofessionals and support staff.  Throughout all the years and all the changes, the Abraham Pierson School has withstood the test of time.
